The mid-Atlantic region is getting hammered right now by a large weather system packing rain, sleet, and snow.  It’s been snowing outside for about 4 hours, but it had been sleeting for about 4 hours before that.  At my home, we’ve already gotten about a half-foot of accumulation and we’re predicted to get more before it ends around midnight.

I left work early to run by the grocery and get home before the weather got bad, but Debra wasn’t so lucky. She got out of DC just in time to get stuck in the traffic along with everyone else trying to get home and out of the snow.  She’s been sitting at one of the transit stations for about 4 hours waiting for the roads to clear and buses to start running again.  I’m hoping she gets home before midnight, but it’s not looking good right now.
